A TerraLuna Tradition
Twice a year, the TerraLuna Family comes together outside of movement and mindfulness in a mission to support organizations around our community.
“One in three women has experienced intimate partner violence. For those seeking safety, housing is the first step—but it cannot be the last.”—YWCA Hamilton
Why This Matters
Economic instability is no longer abstract. Its impact ripples through homes, relationships, and support systems. Funding cuts have endangered programs that stand between safety and suffering for many women and children. Butler County’s only emergency protective shelter, Dove House run by YWCA Hamilton, is one such lifeline.
Dove House is more than a shelter. It’s a sanctuary that keeps families, including beloved pets, together as they escape domestic violence. It’s a place where healing begins and where dignity is restored.
The reality is this: more organizations are losing funding, as the need for services grows. YWCA Hamilton is on the front lines, offering housing, safety, support, and advocacy. Their work matters, and it urgently needs our backing.
“Every night, more than 20,000 calls are placed to domestic violence hotlines across the United States.”—YWCA Hamilton
What We’re Collecting
From now through the end of April, we are collecting in Studio:
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Dish liquid
Laundry supplies
$10 Kroger gift cards
Let’s Make It Easy
Heading to the grocery store? Add an extra pack of paper towels.
Stocking up at Costco? Toss in a second jug of laundry detergent.
Busy week ahead? Pick up a few $10 Kroger gift cards—small but powerful tools for restoring agency and autonomy.
Triple Your Impact Through Our Donation Match
This spring, your generosity will travel even farther. We are honored to partner with Kelli Kurtz, one of our Studio Guests, in support of YWCA Hamilton's ability to provide resources to women, children, and families in crisis. Together, Kelli and TerraLuna both are matching the first $500 in monetary donation made directly to the YWCA “in honor of Kelli Kurtz.”
This means:
Donate $10, and it becomes $30
Donate $25, and it becomes $75
This is a direct, effective way to support the shelter and the women it serves.
To donate, visit YWCA Hamilton’s donation page. Use Acceptiva to make your donation and be sure to enter “in honor of Kelli Kurtz” in the Name of Honoree/Memorial field.
Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute
If donating has been sitting on your mental to-do list, this is your chance to cross it off. Take five minutes now—while this is in front of you—to give. The earlier you donate, the sooner your contribution can go to work!
