Foundations First

The first thing that differentiates us is, well, the first thing! We are dedicated to creating, supporting, and empowering our Trainees from the ground up, beginning with our first segment of lecture, Foundations.

In our eight-hour Foundations class, we will discuss anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and much more. We are invested in giving our Trainees every thing needed to be safe, confident, and successful Pilates Instructors.

We are also invested in honoring our Trainees time; we promise to offer only practical information. We won't fill time with un-necessary info that is ultimately useless in the Studio environment.

A Curriculum Designed for Real Teaching

Like most things at TerraLuna, the curriculum of our Teacher Training program also sets us apart. Not only are we dedicated to creating empowered Trainees through our Foundations lectures, that same dedication to excellence continues with Methods.

Learning the “How, What, and Why” of Pilates

In this eight-hour class, we will learn the "how, what, and why" of teaching Pilates. Trainees will learn the science undergirding TerraLuna's approach to teaching as well as detailed, step-by-step instruction in our method.

We are highly invested in creating excellent Pilates Instructors, capable of sharing their love of Pilates and inspiring new movers, encourage intermediate Pilates students to higher levels, and also engage and challenge advanced movers.

Integrity and Accountability Matter

A Commitment to Ethical Pilates Teacher Training

Our commitment to integrity and accountability. One of the biggest shames in the Pilates industry is the “business” of teacher training. Too often, studios use teacher training as a money-maker rather than a community service and this results in a lack of accountability surrounding Practical Hours. Advertised private or semi-private lessons are simply not honored, entire sections of lecture never get scheduled, observation and student teaching hours are not documented. We assure you, this will never happen at TerraLuna.

Pilates Teacher Training Is Also About Your Own Practice

Movement, Practice, and Embodiment

It's not all lecture though. Part of Teacher Training is being active and moving, having the practice of Pilates in your own body! That's why we offer so many extras that you will not receive elsewhere. We want to give you time to receive in-depth private lessons, focused semi-private classes with your cohort, in addition to regular group classes and much more. We understand that Pilates needs to fill your cup so that you can fill the cup of others in turn.

Flexible Options for Different Goals

Customized Training Paths

Customization. While we'd love for everyone to participate in all 5 segments of training, we know that learning and/or teaching both Mat and Reformer may not be available to everyone. If you are interested in specializing in just Mat or just Reformer, let us know.
